The event is SHSM Visual Art and Media for St. Joseph's Catholic High School.
2. Who participates in the event?
You can participate in the program if you are in grade 11 or 12 and are interested in earning valuable sector skills, graduating with special designation, learning industry standard software, or gaining skill and experience in the arts. For arts and culture majors, possible careers include:
The lead teacher at St. Joe's is Mrs. J. Owchar, the pathway consultant is Mrs. L. Giacomin, and the Co-op coordinator is Mr. D. Borrelli.
5 . Are there any colours/logos?
The colours associated with this program are black and white, as seen on the T-shirts given to each member of the event. Also, there are a couple of logos such as the red seal you receive on your diploma when you complete the Specialist High Skills Major for visual arts and media. There is also another picture used on all the T-shirts and brochures to depict the visual arts and media program here, at St. Joesph's High School.

- Apprenticeship – gem setter/goldsmith, stage sound and light technician
- College – photographer, graphic artist
- University – journalist, writer, visual artist, conductor
- Entry level workplace – photographic and film processor, printing machine operator, sign maker
- 3. What are the requirements?
- Four arts and culture major credits
- One English credit and one credit in either business studies or Canadian and world studies tailored to include units focused on arts and culture
- Two cooperative education credits to gain workplace experience that enables students to refine, extend and practice sector-specific knowledge and skills
- Experiential learning, career exploration and reach ahead activities within the sector
- Certifications and training programs/courses in first aid, CPR and hazardous materials
- Essential Skills and work habits required in the sector
